AFFORDABLE CARDS FOR ALL OCCASIONS JUST A FEW MOUSE CLICKS AWAY

December 7, 2006, Healdsburg, CA - The task of shopping for that perfect greeting card tailored expressly to the tastes of givers and recipients just got a whole lot easier on the upgraded web site, MyCardMaker.com.

The do-it-yourself site, established five years ago, allows visitors to quickly create custom cards and print them at home for myriad occasions: Christmas, Valentine's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, special holidays and everything in between, including party invitations.

An easy interface loaded with customization tools gives well wishers the opportunities to choose from an expanded bank of stock art -- or they can upload their own photographs and paint-box art onto the card covers before adding text inside and printing them out on their home or office printers.

"Ease of use and speed is the biggest benefit. You can make a professional looking greeting card in about 40 seconds," says Tim Letscher, the lead web designer for MyCardMaker.com.

Since its inception, Letscher notes that the company has tracked 14 million card printouts from tracking devices that determine who's clicking onto the site's "print buttons." Christmas and birthday cards, he adds, rank among the most popular, followed closely by Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Unlimited capability for card making is available at $3.99 for daily membership, allowing you to create and print as many cards as you like within a 24-hour period. Or with an annual membership, costing only $19.99, users can unleash their creativity as special occasions arise throughout the calendar year - a significant savings when comparing that price to the cost of a single box of seasonal or holidays cards at retail outlets.

Card makers can now save their projects on the site for future use, or opt for a reminder service that notifies them by email of upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. The site is also "kid friendly," offering various line art that children can color in after the cards are printed.

MyCardMaker is owned by DoodleLab, which recently made available additional art cards that now total over 300 choices, plus new photo borders. Users, however, can incorporate their own graphics into the cards, using jpeg, gif, tiff, png or bitmap files from their hard drives.

"The whole idea is to get in and get out of the web site and end up with unique, customized greeting cards or invitations that are printed at home to your exact liking," adds Letscher.
